Shares of Oracle Corporation (symbol ‘ORCL’)  managed to rise by around 4% in the third fiscal quarter of the year. The company’s earnings report for the fiscal quarter is expected to be released on Monday 11th of December. The consensus EPS is $1.05 against $0.95 of the same quarter last year.

The all-time high Oracle stock closing price was $126.25 on September 11, 2023 while as of 31/08/2023 the net income increased by 56.33% year over year. At the same time the long term debt was at around $84 billions which makes up 64% of the total liabilities. This shows that the company is running a large proportion of their operations on debt while the current ratio is at 87% meaning that there is no ability to repay the short term liabilities with the current assets in hand. These point to a possible liquidity issue for the company which might be deterring investors from buying the share of the tech giant. ‘ said Antreas Themistokleous, trading specialist at Exness. From the technical analysis perspective after the bullish rally in early November, the price has been trying to break above the $116-$117 price mark but has yet to succeed in doing so. This is a very strong technical resistance since it consists of the 61.8% of the weekly Fibonacci retracement level as well as the gap created in early September and has yet to be covered.  On the other hand the overbought Stochastic oscillator and the fact that the faster moving average (50 days) is trading below the slower one (100 days), both indicate that a correction to the downside might take place in the near short term.
