Banco Santander Chile's Outlook revised from Negative to Stable by S&P Global Ratings

On August 22, 2018 S&P Global Ratings revised its outlook on Banco Santander-Chile S.A. from Negative to Stable, maintaining the current rating of A. This change in outlook is as a result of their analysis on the Chilean banking industry risk and economic risk in Chile. They concluded that the economic risk trend has now improved and the BICRA remained stable.
With this stable outlook, S&P reported that they expect Santander Chile to continue the good risk management while maintaining its leading competitive position in the Chilean banking system over the next 24 months.
S&P also revised the outlook from negative to stable on 9 other Chilean financial institutions.
