Melexis wins patent infringement lawsuit from ams AG

Today the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf, Germany, handed down a decision in a patent infringement case filed by ams AG concerning the patent EP 0 916 074 B1. The Court has ruled in Melexis' favor by dismissing the complaint of ams AG.
The decision comes after a lengthy judicial process which started in 2009 when ams AG filed a patent infringement case against Melexis for a specific version of a rotary position sensor. Today's ruling demonstrates that the contested product results from Melexis' proprietary know-how and technology.
