Definition Volume
Volume shows the number of shares or contracts traded during the chosen time frame (Daily, Weekly, Intraday...).
Interpretation Volume
Volume can indicate the strength of price changes and the emotional state of investors over a time period. A strong increasing trend is generally accompanied by strong volume on price increases and lower volumes on pullbacks. On the other hand, a strong decreasing trend is generally accompanied by strong volume on price decreases and lower volume on pullbacks.
It is possible to apply other indicators to the volume chart such as a moving average. To add a moving average to an indicator, click the wrench at the top left of the indicator chart, then click "Add Indicator" and select the indicator of your choice such as "Moving average".
