Deutsche Wohnen receives EPRA Sustainability Gold Award for the third time in a row

Berlin, 11 September 2019. Deutsche Wohnen has won this year's EPRA Sustainability Gold Award in the context of the annual EPRA conference in Madrid. Philip Grosse, CFO of Deutsche Wohnen: "Once again this award by EPRA confirms our efforts to further enhance the transparency and continuity of our sustainability reporting."

Every year since 2012 EPRA [European Public Real Estate Association], the association of listed property companies, has given out the Sustainability Awards. Their aim is to encourage companies in the property industry to be more open and transparent with regard to their sustainability reporting, in line with the EPRA Best Practice Recommendations on Sustainability Reporting [EPRA sBPR]. The third version of these guidelines was introduced in September 2017. Deutsche Wohnen adapts them to its reporting, in order to ensure consistency and comparability for investors in the European property industry. In addition to the environmental impact of its property portfolio and own administrative offices, Deutsche Wohnen's EPRA Sustainability Reporting 2019 also covers social and governance performance indicators.

As well as the award for sustainability reporting, the company once again received the EPRA BPR Gold Award for transparency in financial reporting.
